This visa is for couples who have been living together in the UK for 2 years and have continued their relationship. The requirements are the same as that of the Spouse Visa requirements; with the only difference being the place of application, this application for this visa can be submitted from within the UK. The applicant doesn’t need to go back to their home country.

If you are already in the UK and from outside the EEA and Switzerland region, you can apply for a Partner Visa.
The validation of the visa is 2 years and 6 months. After that period you can apply to extend your visa while you still have your Partner Visa. Additionally, you can apply for a settlement in the UK, provided that you meet the eligibility criteria.
Successful applicants can work in any sector and study at any college or governmental institution. They can also bring their family members to the UK. After a 5-year period, Indefinite Leave to Remain becomes an option for this type of visa.
